Emma's e-plan

Emma uses e-plan both at school and at home. At school, e-plan is used to visualize the content of everyday school life and she plans the school day with the support teacher every morning. It is extra important for Emma that changes are presented in the plan so that she gets an overview of what will happen, who she will be with and how long the activity will last. Emma has difficulties understanding time but benefits greatly from the fact that the activities in e-plan are presented chronologically. After the visual timer was introduced during breaks and when Emma plays on the Nintendo, the transitions to school lessons have become far less frustrating for Emma. At home, e-plan is used as visual support for daily routines such as dressing, washing and brushing teeth in the morning and evening. Emma is fond of building Lego and after visual recipes for Lego building were added to the e-plan, there has been more time for cooking dinner and better opportunities to help big brother with his homework.
